Fluoroscopy

If you consider an X-Ray to be like a still camera, then a fluoroscope is similar to a movie camera. Fluoroscopy is the study of moving bodily structures using an X-ray image displayed on a TV monitor. A continuous X-Ray beam is passed through the area of examination and transmitted to a monitor for visualization.

Fluoroscopy is used in many different types of examinations and procedures, including image-guided pain injections. Our caring staff of technologists will assist you through the procedure. To ensure complete comfort, we recommend that our patients wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothing to their exam.

Exam results are communicated to the patient directly after the exam. At InHealth Imaging, we believe that all of our patients should be presented their results without delay. Shortly after the patient is seen, the images and results are shared with the ordering physician through our secure Picture Archiving & Communications System (PACS) portal.
